It certainly is true that most climate - however, if these efforts were effective - most of society's establishments wouldn't experience the many problems that is currently bedeviling them. Most establishments would be more productive, more competitive, more profitable, more successful in obtaining objectives, achieving goals and experience less resentments, frustrations, stresses and feelings of helplessness. What's more, democracy, free enterprise and the capitalistic ideal wouldn't be in the kind of it's in now.“pretend” to emphasize and put plenty of efforts towards addressing and maintaining a self-development and growth
We all think that we're wonderful self-developers, we develop ourselves from the day we were born, don't we? And don't we develop ourselves (learn and grow) all day… every day… of our lives? But - whether, we like to believe it or not - reality and the facts prove otherwise. We are appalling self-developers. We are technological marvels and highly acclaimed experts, BUT socially, mentally and spiritually we didn't improve a bit. Just take a good look at our present circumstances, things are at the brink of falling apart and we are helpless to turn events around - despite numerous praiseworthy efforts - and we presently only succeed in postponing the inevitable.
We fail to understand the astounding energy that can be released by a purposeful self-empowerment quest, we don't know how to encourage it and we continue to make a lot of “noise” about it, BUT very little actually materialize in the end. We have conquered the world, but failed miserably in conquering ourselves. We are reluctant to acknowledge the fact that… despite our many years of study, technological break trough's, unbelievable levels of scientific knowledge, marvelous achievements and highly developed society… we are still baffled and teased by intriguing questions such as…
- How does human energy differ from all other forms and manifestations of energy (e.g. mammals or machines)?
- What initiates, encourage and makes human energy work efficiently?
- What are the things that keep or prevent human energy from working optimally?
- How can human energy be made to work better? More efficiently? More effectively? More productively? More focus on delivering contribution to improve matters, rather than to destroy?
Plausible answers to the above questions are evading numerous psychologists, researchers and social scientists for hundreds of years and today - in spite of all past research done and efforts made - we are only able to provide partial answers to this “mysterious” and “elusive” concept of human energy.
Unfortunately, instead of exploring and understanding the “unknown territory” of human energy, most of us rather opt to ignore and resort to the more familiar position of predicting and judging human actions or behaviors based on statistical norms. In the process, individuality is effectively disclaimed and suppressed in favor of a more statistical recipe oriented, dogmatic and template minded conformity of “doing-as-you-are-told” or instructed.
The disclaimer trap - in essence - is our arrogant ignorance to collectively force individuals into doing things the right way as expected and prescribed, rather than to allow individuals to do things right by contribution. The disclaimer and bonsai trap, usually goes hand in hand, which - more often than not - maintain an active blaming game strategy to deal with adversities, problems and obstacles.
